It’s finally here: join this hands-on exploration into the world of dental jewellery. During this two-day workshop, Lisette will guide you through the entire process, from start to finish, as you create your own custom piece.
On the first day, we’ll begin with taking impressions. You’ll learn how to properly use body-safe materials, their pros and cons, and how to work with them safely.
From there, we’ll prepare the moulds specifically for wax modelling.
You’ll be introduced to various wax techniques, tools, and materials, giving you the freedom to explore and discover your own preferences while creating a piece ready to be sent out for casting.
On the second day, your wax model will have been cast into silver using the lost wax casting process. Now it’s time for the finishing stage. You’ll refine and complete your personal piece by learning how to use files, sanding tools, and polishing techniques. This part requires patience, but you’ll have access to a variety of tools and machines to help you bring your design to life.
* Although we aim to help you achieve the best possible design and fit, please keep in mind that dental jewellery is a complex process due to the many steps involved and the small scale we are working on. Perfection cannot be guaranteed. These classes focus not only on the final result, but on giving you the skills, tools, and knowledge to continue exploring the craft yourself.
If you prefer certainty of a finished item, a simpler project maybe lost wax silver ring, might be more suitable for you.
